This low growing Australian native shrubs is often referred to as a 'Thargomindah Nightshade'. As a member of the Solanaceae family of plants it is closely related to potatoes and tomatoes. This is a plant that thrives in many arid outback regions of Australia and that can be found near the south-western Queensland town of Thargomindah to which it owes its colloquial name.
